In Suzhou, China: Chinese New Year, Lantern Festifal, in the exhibition, and visiting a church nearby

Hey, mom.

We are enjoying our Chinese New Year!
And there is another festival called lantern festival several days later.
As the name says, it is a festival about latern. In ancient China, people do not have lamps, instead, they put candles in colourful lanterns, so it looks shiny and beautiful at night. But nowadays, most lanterns are lighted by lamps, which are much more pretty.

We heard from the news that there will be an exhibition near the Jingji lake,so today we take a bus there.

It was in the morning, so we could not see any light, but we can still enjoy the huge lanterns.

I love this blue lantern because it is consisted by thousands of china spoons and bowls. I think it is really amazing! But Luna said she likes the dragon one better, i think it's not bad:)

We enjoyed the beautiful scenes around the lake and then we visited a church nearby. It was built a few months ago, so it looks pretty new!

It was a nice day:)

In Suzhou, China: Having a walk, and eating a big meal in a restaurant

Hey,mom.

Today is the day before Chinese New Year (Spring Festival). Host-sister will have a big meal with her family members in a restaurant. Time is a bit early now, so we plan to have a walk.

Not far from us is walking street, and the Suzhou Museum is on this street. We want to visit the museum! But look at the gate! It's locked! There's a sheet says that the museum will be closed during the festival. Well, maybe i can visit it after that:P

Look, there are some sidewalk stores over there! An artist is shaping the plasticine into the shape of this couple. How amazing!

On the other side of the road are some stores sell silk and pearls. These two things are specialties here in Suzhou:)

Oh, we are hungry now! Let's enjoy the big meal!

Love,
