Belgium - Deurne: saying goodbye

Hi Mom and Luna,

Time to say goodbye to Hostmom Cin and Mister J.

I am ready to come home.

Hostmom Cin, made a cap and a scarf for me, so I won't get cold when I am travelling and back home.

I feels very warm, I like it!!

Hostmom Cin thinks it is colder back home so she opened all the windows so I can already get used to the cold.  But it was also to cold for them so they had to put a cap on too.  Hahahaha very funny!

so this is the last photoshoot with my hostfamily.

 It was very hard to make a picture with everyone on it.

The kitties wouldn't listen and weren't in the mood to make pictures.

But we had some fun!!

 we tried without the kitties... much much better!

 I am going to miss them!

And I guess they are going to miss me too!

Belgium - Deurne: Birthday of Mister J

Gooood morning Mom,

Party-time again!!

It is Mister J his birthday. 

He is now 30 years!!

So he got some presents

Big spaceship !! 

you know.. cats and empty boxes :P 

Maybe the best present of all: The newest CD of Richard Hawley! 

In the background you see a canvas from the Beatles he got.

Hostmom Cin arranged that the neighbour came to put it on the wall straight away.

 BEER!!

Party has started 

 a birthday card  (see canvas is hanging on the wall already)

 what is inside? hmmmm 

some of the guests, very funny guys :P 

 a vouvher to eat pizza for 2 persons and a pizzaknife

 ohh another present....

meanwhile.. we drink drank drunk :P 

dinnertime!! we ordered some Chinese 

 but not for Hostmom Cin and one of the guests.  She made "hachee" and we got fries

and again a present.

dessert: hostmom Cin made chocolat mousse again. 

 ohh it was very crowdy in the couch and our neighbour took this pictues. 

 Don't know why?? Do you Mom??  Euhh yes it was al guy. How did you know that?

Drunk, indeed much alcohol was served :P

There is a groupspictues but Hostmom Cin can't find it.  She will post it as soon as she found it.

Belgium - Deurne: Easterday making chocolat mousse

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

We are collecting eggs...

But... Hostmom Cin and I have also hided other things for Mister J.

He needs to find those things by hints that he finds or orders that he needs to obey.

At the picture below the hint was: 
For our cats it is Easter too, give them a treat from their tin.

 Maya is helping too. 

She found a lot of eggs that have already been found :) 

She hit the Jackpot!!

Next hint:  the first place I look when I come home.

He got it: Joss Stone.  Inside there were 4 little pieces of the big thing he needs to build. 

This was fun, it took Mister J about half an hour to find all the treasure that we hide last night.

All the hidingspots at a row:

1. at the tin with the treats for the cats

2. in a box with postcards

3. at the sugarbowl

4. in a shoe

5. at the mailbox

6. in a sock that was still on the clothesline

7. in the cat bed

8. in the fridge

9. in a cd

10. in a candle

11. in the magazine basket

 he found everything in total there were 74 pieces hidden on 11 spots.

Oh I didn't knew Hostmom Cin has hide something for me too!!

Time for the Easterbrunch.. with...EGGS

Look at me.. I am so strong.  I can hold 2 eggs!! 

Hostmom Cin has bought the little bunny on top of the egg in Bruges.

Time to eat the egg... yummie!

Hostmom Cin promised Mister J that she wound make desert for this evening.

He would like chocolate mousse

Ok she said.. Stella will help me.

Ingredients:
• 120 gr dark Chocolate
• 60 gr Granulated Sugar
• 250 ml heavy/full Cream
• 3 egg-white
• lots of enthusiasm :P

Step 1
Melt the chocolate bain-marie

Step 2
add 50 ml of the cream

Step 3
sturre very carefully

Step 4
when the chocolate and the cream melted together, let it cool.

Step 5
Whip the 200 ml cream that is left

Stella is whipping :)

How do you know when it is ready?

Step 6
It is ready when you can hold it upside down like this.

Step 7
Time to whip the eggs-white of 3 eggs.

Time to whip again (first clean the mixing-things!!)

Step 8
When the egg-white becomes foam you need the add the sugar spoon by spoon very carefully while you are still whipping.

got only 2 hands so I can't make a picture of step 8 while doing it. So mixing/whipping and adding the sugar bit by bit until the sugar is invisible in the egg-white-foam.

We are out of sugar so... when is it ready?

Again do the upside down trick to check.

So...
We got the melted chocolate with the cream,
the whipped cream and the whipped egg-white

Step 10
Put everything together with a spoon.
First the chocolate..

DO NOT STURRE!!

Step 11
Add the cream

So...
everything is in one bowl now!

DO NOT STURRE!!
shovel it... very CAREFULLY and SLOW!....

... until it's all the same color.

Step 13

TAST IT!!
MMmmmmm

Divide your mousse into small bowls.

... done...

Cover the bowls

Put them into the fridge.
